Animal Supervisor (Live Educational Displays Section)

Job Summary

1. All aspects of wildlife husbandry & care, including hygiene, nutrition and behavioral management. The LED section consists of a variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. Staff are required to be familiar with the operations and supervise work in all areas.
2. Contribute to educational programs for visitors, including public talks, tours of facilities etc.
3. Staff are responsible for the visitor experience at the live displays and public education.

Job requirements

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation .
• Minimum 2 years of animal care and handling experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors.
• Bilingual; Cantonese and English, both spoken and written.
• Good communication skills, able to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Willing to work in a roster system, including weekends and holidays.
• Class 1 & 2 driver’s license would be an advantage.
